The Diagnosis

Well, it's been an interesting couple of hours.  Last night Dad took a look at my throat and thought I might have strep throat.  I was given a very comforting blessing, and then tried to got to sleep.
Emphasis on tried.  I kept tossing and turning, trying to find a comfortable position where I would be able to swallow as little as possible.  When I finally did drift off to sleep, I had dreams about being a disease-ridden outcast.
Needless to say, I called the doctor's office to get an appointment as soon as they were open. ;)  The doctor was very kind, and pretty fun.  He took a look, and a couple swabs, and said that I don't have strep, just a viral infection, and that I should be able to fight it off with ibuprofen and Jamba Juice (cold drinks).
So here I am, ditching school so I don't feel sick over finals week, sucking ice cubes and looking up my teachers power points so I don't completely miss the material (one good thing about having schools go online).  I just hope they don't have any quizzes today. ;)

Fare thee well, friend!

    1. Actually, you'd be surprised just how much help Jamba Juice actually is! I'm barely having any trouble at all now!
